The Swell arrived to Mountain High, bringing a fresh dusting of snow. So many great people and new friendly faces joined our community of snow surfers to ride the frozen wave park at our first ever Snowsurf Expression Session.
Last year, we wrote about the need for more frozen wave parks. This year, we are teaming up with Kona Big Wave and Mountain High Resort to make the dream of creating more waves of snow at 7,000 ft above sea level a reality!
Over the next season the design and graphic continued to evolve, with no f*%ks given to the naysayers as we couldnt hear them from so deep in the powder fields of the secret testing grounds deep in the SouthWest corner of Lost Trail’s Chair 4 low angle zone.

Alaska seemed further away than ever last spring. We had been stuck in Mammoth all season with a record breaking snowfall which had closed the roads out. And the old adage hung in our minds, “Don't leave good surf in search of better surf.” But it was possibly the last year of Tailgate Alaska and we had made such a bond with Thompson Pass and the community that congregates there in the spring. So we decided to send it.

Meet Parker Gokey! He is the Terrain Park Manager at Sugar Bowl Resort, a husband/father/family man and has been an Elevated Ambassador since 2019. He first discovered Elevated Surf Craft through Brian Jimenez and Che Contour at Mt. Ashland, Oregon on his way to the Big Wave Challenge in Mount Bachelor. Then he ran into Aaron Sababba at the event and after chatting for hours wanted to become part of the stoke perpetuated by these boards.
Nick has been working at Winter Park for 5 years and is now the Mary Jane Lift Operations Supervisor! Nick is also one of our Ambassadors and loves being able to offer free demos to all who are interested in learning the art of snow surfing. He recently wrote an update that we wanted to share with you all.
As part of our mission to develop a quiver of snow surf boards that harness flow and promote grace and harmony, we collaborated with our community to create the Minni Fish. Designed by femaleriders, the goal for the snowboard was to develop a vessel for an efficient and enjoyable riding experience in powder and on groomers. Here is how the Minni Fish came to be.
