At Elevated Surf Craft, we are committed to designing snowboards that provide an unparalleled snowsurfing experience. To achieve that, we needed a manufacturing partner that could match our high standards for craftsmanship, durability, and sustainability. After exploring various options, we chose GP87 to produce our boards, and here’s why.

A Commitment to Quality and Precision

When you ride an Elevated Surf Craft board, you’re not just standing on a snowboard—you’re connected to a piece of engineering that embodies flow, surf, and the mountains. We needed a manufacturer who understands that every detail matters. GP87 excels in producing boards with exceptional precision and consistency, ensuring that each shape, flex, and material component is exactly how we envisioned it.

The quality that GP87 delivers rivals any top factory in the world. Despite the common skepticism around manufacturing in China, GP87 consistently proves that they are capable of producing world-class boards. In fact, the feedback we’ve received from our riders and the broader snowsurfing community has consistently praised the quality of our boards—and that’s a testament to the craftsmanship at GP87.

On the proven durability side, we have been running our free demo program for years, literally seeing our boards stand the test of time.

“We have now rigorously tested boards that have held up for 7 years at 70+ days a year and 30,000 vertical feet a day ridden with intensity.” — Aaron Lebowitz, Founder and Shaper

Sustainability Done Right

At Elevated Surf Craft, we care about the environment just as much as we care about the ride. That’s why partnering with GP87 made sense for us. Their commitment to sustainability isn’t just a marketing ploy—it’s ingrained in their manufacturing process. For example, they use fast-growing, locally sourced wood specifically harvested for snowboard production. This ensures that our boards have a minimal environmental impact while maintaining the highest performance standards.

GP87 also uses the industry’s only true no-VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) epoxy, setting them apart from other factories that rely on bio-based resins filled with solvents. This innovation leads to better-performing boards with improved impact resistance, strength, and durability—all while being better for the planet.

Efficiency and Innovation in Materials

GP87’s approach to material usage is another reason we chose them as our manufacturing partner. They mold polyurethane sidewalls to the exact shape and thickness of each board, minimizing waste and maximizing the performance of our designs. By using locally sourced materials such as their proprietary Crown base, carbon fiber, fiberglass, and inserts, they’re able to control quality from the ground up.

This attention to detail and material efficiency allows us to offer a product that’s both high-performance and eco-conscious, which aligns with our mission at Elevated Surf Craft.

A Factory that Cares About Its Workers

One of the most important factors in choosing GP87 was their ethical approach to labor. In an industry where the working conditions in some countries raise concerns, GP87 stands out for its worker protections and fair labor practices. Employees are empowered to speak up and have access to legal support if they ever feel mistreated. Knowing that our boards are being built by skilled workers who are treated fairly and work in safe conditions was crucial to our decision.

Hands-On Quality Control

At Elevated Surf Craft, we put a lot of heart into the design of our snowboards, so it’s essential that the final product reflects that passion. One of the reasons we trust GP87 is because they take a hands-on approach to quality control. Their team, led by someone who lives and works in the factory, inspects every aspect of production daily. This ensures that no shortcuts are taken and that every board that leaves the factory is built to the highest standards.

"I live here and I care about what we are making and shipping out. I walk the floor a few times a day to catch as many problems as possible and correct them. We know what will make a board break and don’t let things be changed that could cause problems." — Dan A. of GP87
