The plan was set— tour the Alps with the Moustache Regazzis from Italy to Austria. Along the way we would meet up with members of our surf club, savor in local cuisine and surf the highest and most extensive mountain range system in Europe.

Upon arrival, my bags were MIA, but as they say— when plans go wrong, a cafe goes a long way. Over some delicious cappuccinos, we regrouped and packed up our pair of Fiat camper vans and set off from Milan. Because the boards and gear I brought were still delayed, we reached out to an old contact Tommy Brunetto to ask to borrow one of the original hand shaped Soulmotion Soulryders.A few turns, some wide open groomers, and a little fresh pow later— my bags arrived and the adventure continued.

Our tour kicked off in the Aosta Valley and then to Cervinia where we met with the Italian Surf Club of 15 members. We lodged halfway up the mountain and were on the groomers before the chair even started spinning.

Then to the Dolomites at Obereggen where the groomers are world class, but awoke in the morning to a foot of fresh pow and snowing all day. Food was the drive and we ate pizza and pasta for days.

After a few wonderful days of powder we traveled 3 hours through the mountains to LAAX for the legendary halfpipe and park. But the powder kept following us so we explored across the glacier into big beautiful open runs with more new SurfClub members for an experience of a lifetime.

From the crew to the vibe to the atmosphere to the food… and all of the snow in between it was truly the trip if a lifetime.
